
2019 A New Direction for SRE in Junee High School

In 2018 Chairperson Cheryl Carter welcomed everyone to our fourth annual Vision Dinner. Over 60 guests enjoyed a night of fellowship and were able to enjoy delicious desserts while listening to informative speakers and talented musicians.
Lucy King kept us all captivated with her beautiful rendition of “Amazing Grace”.
Janice Mitchell Regional Chaplaincy Manager -Riverina/Murray – Generate Ministries spoke of the role of school chaplains in public schools.
Mark Crowder entertained us with some old favourites which were enjoyed by all the guests.
Prue Asmus, a teacher at Junee High spoke of the positive change that has come over the student body and staff since our SRE ministry and the arrival of Principal Scott Frazier.
Lucas King the school chaplain informed us of the new program Boyz to Men. 8 boys in stage 4 attended for a duration of 6 weeks. The program sought to provide male students with some skills and insights to help them through many issues they might face, such as identity, respect, resilience, and kindness towards others.
Thank you to all who assisted to make our annual plant stall atthe Junee Show such a great success. $1600 was raised
The Correctional Centre donated beautifully crafted wooden toys to JCea for sale.
Esteem Designs seeks to empower young women and help them to find identity, self-worth and self-esteem. This program was run for selected girls in term 2.
The JCea Plant and Cake Stall was a great success. $1485 was raised and the JCea board would like to thank all those who assisted on the day with produce to sell or on the selling tables.

At our vision dinner in 2016 the JCea board and their supporters said farewell to our two very dedicated teachers, Jeremy Polkinghorne and Mal Forsyth.
